Mini Golf - Canary Wharf, London - HERE & HERE

Sean Pollock Photography HERE

Craig & Karl were commissioned to create the mini-golf exhibit above by Canary Wharf in London. They worked with The White Wall Co Ltd, an installation and fabrication company in the UK, to install in London. The Installation was photographed by London-based photographer Sean Pollock.

I was drawn to this installation because of its use of bright vibrant colors, shapes, and lines to transform what could have been the same generic mini-golf experience that people expect. I also like the idea of having artists express their work in this physically gamified way to engage more with the public through your work. I also like the installation since the way it is designed is meant to grab your attention it stands out from the surrounding area drawing people together into the experience and possibly brightening someone's day.

I also believe that this installation represents Craig & Karl's portfolio of work really well. When you look through the artist's website it's bright, fun, and interactive. My favorite thing about their site is the fact that because the artists live in two different parts of the world in the top right corner it shows what day it where each artist is with a clock representing their different time zone. The computer screens also change when you watch them for long enough or sometimes when you refresh the webpage. I also find it cool how the artists have been able to translate their work in a bunch of different formats like digital, NFTs, installations, sculptures, etc. They have also had the opportunity to work with companies to create interesting storefronts, special packaging for products, and more. I always find it interesting when artist are able to translate their style and passion in a way that is also marketable granting them access to more opportunities because of their image/work.

I also like this kind of work because it is bring together multiple artist for the creatation, production, and post production publicitiy. It's not anyone person working completely on their own.

Two more Installations I thought were interesting:
